Background

Batho Pele Diamond Mine of Lesotho is a legal registered mine located in Lesotho, located at Nqechane and Koenaneng, a kimberlite block in the north – western Lesotho highlands. The Nqechane kimberlite exploration block is located within Ha-Lapisi, Leribe. Founded by Mr Mosounyane and later Joined by Dr Mofao N. Phoka, Batho-Pele Diamond Mine believe in putting people first. Our name, "Batho-Pele," means "people first" in Sesotho, reflecting our commitment to ethical mining practices, community development, and environmental stewardship. Founded in 2013, we have grown to become a leading player in the diamond mining industry, known for our high-quality gems and responsible mining operations.
